We encourage EERI members and others in the earthquake community to contact the members of the House Science Committee with their own letters of support for NEHRP and the ANSS programs. The House Science Committee's Subcommittee on Research, chaired by Congressman Nick Smith, has jurisdiction over the NEHRP program and will be holding hearings on the reauthorization of the NEHRP program on May 8, 2003. EERI will be represented at these hearings by President Tom O'Rourke.
