Adobe Training Materials

Development of communication materials and training methodology for the construction of safe and hygienic adobe houses in seismic areas

Project director: Marcial Blondet, Catholic University of Lima, Peru.

This project will produce a manual for reconstruction/retrofit project directors; a manual for construction trainers; a motivational video; a technical video; and small-scale demonstration equipment. In addition, an adobe construction manual developed by PUCP and CARE (Vargas et. al 2007) and the WHE tutorial on adobe construction (Blondet et al. 2003) will be updated to be used as part of the training material.
