2009 Workshop of the Asian-Pacific Network of Centers for Earthquake Engineering Research (ANCER)

August 13 - 14, 2009

The workshop will be hosted by the Mid-America Earthquake Center at the University of Illinois.  The main objective of this series is to provide a medum for integration of various approaches to studying and managing earthquake risk, with an amphasis on low and medium seismicity regions.  The focus will be the encouragement of young researchers to present their own work and have an opportunity to receive feedback from international experts in a collegial environment. 

The workshop theme is learning from recent earthquakes, especially related to field reconnaissance and back-analysis of strong-motion, structures and geotechnical aspects.
