Los Angeles Tall Building Structural Design Council Conference

This 1-day conference will showcase new tall building designs and case studies that have been completed using contemporary performance-based seismicdesign procedures.  Other topics to be covered include:

• design ground motions
• low-cycle fatigue
• performance-based plastic design
• potential collapse vulnerability of buildings
• 2009 updates to the LATBSDC Alternative Design Criteria
• an update on the lateset earthquake engineering design procedures for tall buildings
