Advanced School on Direct and Inverse Problems of Seismology

This course will be hosted by the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics in collaboration with the University of Trieste, and will be conducted in English. Instructors will provide training in methodologies of R&D in fundamental studies of the Earth's structure, evolution and dynamics.

Although the main purpose is to help researchers from developing countries, a limited number of students and post-doctoral scientists from devoloped countries are also welcome to attend.  A degree in physics, mathematics, geophysics (theoretical or computational), computer science or a similar discipline is required.  There is no registration fee. A limited number of travel grants are available for researchers from developing countries under age 45.
