Ecuador Earthquake Reconnaissance Briefing Webinar on July 15


EERI will host an Ecuador Earthquake Reconnaissance Briefing Webinar as a part of its Learning from Earthquakes program, on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm Pacific Daylight Time.

During this free event, members of the EERI reconnaissance team that traveled to Ecuador to study the April 16, 2016 earthquake will present their observations. In addition, the co-leader of the GEER-ATC team will offer an overview of geotechnical impacts. Briefing content will provide key insights into the various aspects of shaking characteristics, earthquake damage to housing and hospitals and initial response, in particular tagging issues. An overview of damage in Portoviejo and Manta will be included.
