The Call for Papers for the 13th U.S. National Conference on Earthquake Engineering (13NCEE) is now open! 13NCEE will take place in Portland, Oregon in July 2026, bringing together the full spectrum of the earthquake community to discuss and debate new research, advancements in practice, and a multitude of new and ongoing issues related to seismic hazard, risk, mitigation, and public policy.
The 13NCEE technical program will be designed around community-submitted papers. There is no preliminary abstract submission and review; the first and only submission is a 4-page paper manuscript. Full papers must be received by September 30, 2025.
View the range of Technical Program Topics here, and visit the Call for Papers page for more information on paper formatting, the submission process, paper submission fees, and selection criteria. Make sure your EERI membership is current in order to receive the member rate on the submission fees.

Please note that due to the high number of strong special session proposals received for 13NCEE, special session reviews are still ongoing and acceptances will be announced later this month. If you are an organizer or presenter in a proposed special session, please await notification of acceptance before submitting your papers.
We’re looking forward to seeing you next summer in Portland!
